Strasbourg Observers published my case note on the European Court of Human Rights’s inadmissibility decision in Kotnik and Jukič v Slovenia. The applicants, along with numerous other rights-holders, suffered a loss of their investment as a result of the state bailout of the banks. They have now been waiting in vain for more than a decade for effective remedies and compensation, as well as for the strengthening of the general rule of law.
