The Research Groups of the Faculty of Government and European Studies, New University, and the Re-forma d.o.o. are organizing an international conference dedicated to the empirical study of ideological profiles of judges. The conference will take place within a framework of the research project on The Ideology on Courts, whereby the research group has been conducting an empirical research in the multidimensional ideology of the Slovenian constitutional court.
The conference will take place on Monday, 16. 9. 2019, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and will consist of two invited keynote lectures and four panels, in which the selected scholars will be able to present their work in progress. Therefore, hereby a call for papers is launched to invite scholars at an early stage of their career (including doctoral students and post-docs) as well as more experienced researchers to present their on-going research on ideological profiles of judges in the national, supranational and international courts. The call is open until 17. 5. 2019 and all interested applicants shall send their 300 words abstract to Matej.Avbelj@fds.nova-uni.si.
The successful scholars will be informed about the selection by 31. 5. 2019. The Faculty of Government and European studies will cover a 2-night accommodation and provide meals, while the participants are responsible for their own travel expenses to Ljubljana.
